With the tragedy in Oregon yesterday, there were many different groups crying out for justice. The most politicized groups were political, of course. First and foremost, I am praying for those families who lost loved ones, but I am appalled at how quickly many people or groups tried to stands on the graves of those who lost their lives for their own mostly political gain.

One thing that is not being publicized heavily is the religious aspect of the shooting. It has been reported by many of the witnesses that Christians on statement of being a Christian were shot in the head while others were just shot in the leg. After Columbine there was a major outcry by Christians for being targeted, but this time Christians are being pacifist just like they have been as the rest of the major issues facing the issues that have faced the country. It’s time for Christians to not be idle, but to actually stand up and say that this is not ok.
